Happy Cats

Hi

Today I have this card to show you.

The stamp I've used is called Happy Cats and is available from In2Stamps.  I coloured it using my Copic Markers and I used some Tim Holtz Distress Ink around the edge of the image.

Do you like the flowers?  They were sent to me by my fabulous blogging buddy Paola.  Thanks so much for these Paola, I love them!!!

WOYWW and Kitty Cats!!!

Wednesday again!!!!  Time for WOYWW

Well here's mine...

I've kind of finished my sorting out.  I say "kind of" as, quite frankly, I got bored with it!!!!  I did a lot of clearing out and then decided that the rest could wait and put it all away.  That means I got my desk back - yippeee!!!

Some of you noticed a TV on the wall to the left of my desk.  This has gone now and in it's place is - yes more shelving!!!!

Also, a little swing over to the right and you can see that hubby put up the CD shelves for me and now all my nesties and unmounted stamps are on shelves instead of in all the boxes that were here last week.

They need to be labelled and put into some kind of order.  I think I should have the Nesties at the bottom as I will be using these the most and then I can work my way up. When they were in the boxes I could just flick through until I found what I was looking for, this of course is no longer an option.  "Super Hubby" has said he would label them for me, do we think he will have it done by next week?  Please place your bets LOL!!!

Now for a real treat!!!  I thought that you might like to see what my beautiful kitty cats were like when they were babies, sorry kittens!!!!  I didn't get either of them when they were small, but the breeders I bought from were kind enough to let me have some kitten photos.

Here's Thomas

He really looks like butter wouldn't melt, but this is what he gets up to when my back is turned.....

And as for Pablo.  He was just tooooo adorable.

Look at his super spotty tummy.

He really has grown into a handsome chap too.

Anyway, I'm off to see what the rest of the WOYWWers are up to this week.  Then I'm off to do a bit of crafting and this afternoon William wants to bake some biscuits, what fun!!!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Egg-stra Special Box!!!

Hi

Today I've done a bit of altering / recycling!!!!

I started with this

And ended with this

Impressive huh!!!

I have to confess that this is not an idea from my creative brain but that of my husband - oh yes !!!!  He has some quite good ideas from time to time, but let's not tell him, we don't want it going to his head LOL!!!

So, I guess you want to know how I made this transformation.  Well, first I removed the eggs LOL!!!

I removed the label and used this as a template to make a replacement out of patterned paper.  I tidied up the edges of the box and then sprayed it with some Gold Glimmer Mist.  I covered it with the patterned paper, matted and layered my image and embellished the box.

I used this cute little chick stamp from Magnolia as my focal image, which I coloured using my Copic Markers.

I cut a rectangle of matching patterned paper to cover the egg info inside the lid and filled the box with chocolate eggs!!!

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges

Allsorts Challenge - Rags to Riches, Alter / Recycle Something
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Easter
Charisma Cardz - Spring has Sprung
Colour Create Challenge - Pastels plus Easter / Spring
Everybody Art Challenge - Easter

Hi

Today I would like to show you some little gifts that I made for my boys to give to their teachers for Easter.

I filled the pouches with some little chocolate eggs.

I made some simple sentiment plaques using a stamp from the Loads of Love Accessories Set from Stampin' Up, and I layered them using Nesties Circles and Scalloped Circles.

When the boys came home from school they were really pleased to tell me that their teachers' all loved them.

I'm entering these into the following challenges, which all have an Easter theme:

Stampin' For The Weekend
C.R.A.F.T Challenge
Everybody Art Challenge

WOYWW

Well, it's Wednesday again, time for WOYWW!!!  I'm ashamed to say that my Workspace doesn't look a lot different to last week.  I've been crafting on the dining table this week.

I am waiting for hubby to put up a shelf unit to store my CD cases - I store all my Nesties and unmounted stamps in CD cases and at the moment they are all in the boxes you can see stacked up on the right.  All these are full and I think to perch another one on top would be a little silly, so a shelf unit is in order!!!

I had a good time shopping last week.  I bought some small and large Octagon Nesties and a couple of the new labels too.  I also got some Tim Holtz Hitch Fasteners, which I want to use to make one of the little drawer units that I've seen recently in Blogland.  I'll let you know how I get on, but I think I need my workspace back first LOL!!!

For those kitty addicts out there, here are a couple of picutres to keep you going.  As you can see, they haven't been up to much !!!

Thomas & Pablo doing what they do best!!!

Thanks for stopping by today.

In2Stamps DT Creation - Kibo

Hi

Today I want to show you my first DT Creation using the newly released stamps from In2Stamps.

When I received my DT Stamps, I couldn't wait to get started. I stamped and coloured Kibo the Little Elephant first. He is my favourite from the Cute Animals Collection.

I have used him to decorate this pinch top box which I've made following this template designed by my husband. If you like it then please take the template and make one too.  All I ask is that you credit Lazy Cats Cards with the design and link back to my blog. Don't forget to let me know if you use it, so that I can hop over and see your creations!!!

Left click to enlarge the image and then right click to save it to your computer. The template can then be printed onto the reverse of an A4 sheet of card. I usually print mine in draft mode to save ink!!!

To finish my box I've simply added some little flowers and a bow.

Recipe:

Stamp: Kibo the Little Elephant from In2Stamps
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Colouring Medium: Copic Markers
Tools: Nesties Large Rectangle and Sizzix Big Shot.  Scor-Pal
Embellishments: Ribbon and Flowers from my Stash

For more ideas and inspiration hop on over to the In2Stamps Inspiration Blog.  Also, don't forget the In2Stamps Monthly Challenge.  As always, there's a great prize on offer for the lucky winner.

Thanks for stopping by today.
